Many game enthusiasts world over are compelled to buy their favorite games from grey market because of non availability of authorized networks. Case in point here is India where game lovers just don’t mind importing their Wiis from abroad. India being the second largest country in terms of its population cannot be ignored that’s what Wii feels. Milestone interactive tested Indian market for Wii software and things may soon change for gamers if channel network is launched in India by Wii. India already has authorized dealers selling Sony and Microsoft products.
At the same time Wii is wary about drawing conclusions based on the game sales while its consoles have not been made available officially to the gamers. Well that’s how it the ground situation stand in India and it may take some time before the situation improves.
The other problem is that Mileston wants to distribute Alone in the Dark Wii in India. It has already been rejected by critics and Wii’s chances can be judged from the Atair’s survival! So far market has seen positive trend in terms of supply and demand gap. Nintendo is also spreading its base and venturing in untapped waters.
