THQ released its game De Blob in the month of September along with the major games like Mega Man 9, Samba de Amigo and Wario Land: Shake It! where  it was easy for the people to forget this game. The game was not a commercial success like the others but gradually it won the hearts and a lot was noticed about the game. Infact, it grabbed the Australian Development awards and became popular as Australia’s favorite game.

The GDAA (Game Developers Association of Australia) every year give honors to the outstanding games of the year and this year, majority of the awards went to THQ’s De Blob. The THQ-published Wii-exclusive title took the prizes for the best console title, best gameplay, best audio, best graphics and also the GDAA’s best game of the year.
