Since the time Nintendo has been launched some two years back, it is a hit in the market. The popular retail site, Amazon.com has made a good business in the market through Nintendo’s products and latest consoles especially in the year 2008. The site has released its 2008 best-of lists in which the top selling video game of the year is Wii.

The top video game has been Wii Fit and it also got the best reviews of 2008. This product is also most popular among the users. The Mario Kart Wii along with the Wii Wheel was also in the list as the most gifted item by Amazon users this year.

 
 

The rumor has finally been confirmed about the UK developer Free Radical. The company has let go off 140 employees which is 75% of its workforce. This will be effective 31st December. The company is now left with only 40 or so number of employees and is now officially on sale. Several companies are showing interest in buying this company. A Free Radical employee had previously stated that the company was working on two secret projects which would be published by more than one publisher.

Haze and TimeSplitters maker Free Radical went under administration on December 18th. The employees still thought that the company will not close. All this will make the company lose its status among UK’s 150 independent developers.
